COUNTER SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Overview

We are currently accepting applications for an Counter Sales Rep to continue this tradition and develop new business while focusing on cultivating existing business.

· The Counter Sales Associate must have prior automotive experience. He/She will be working directly with the Store Manager to service our existing customers and attract new customers.

· The Counter Sales Associate will report directly to the Store Manager to establish goals and budgets.

Job Responsibilities

· Service existing accounts and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.

· Maintain accurate inventory levels at all times

· Help to keep a clean and safe work environment for all fellow employees and customers

· Establish Add on business with existing customers.

· Build a long term relationship with customer base.

· Provide accurate price quotes in a timely manner to our customers

· Understanding customer needs and offering solutions

· Focus sales efforts based on company strategies, market intelligence and customer sales volume.

· Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, customer service, personnel, etc.

· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by testing product (own & competitive), reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.

· Work retail store counter to develop the team, meet potential customers and assist with inside sales.

· Meet and exceed company quotas

· Work closely with Store Manager to complete daily tasks and duties

· Accurately bill/receive inventory

· Opening and closing duties

· Develop a team atmosphere and adhere to company policies

· Any and all other duties assigned by management

Physical Requirements

· Physical Ability to stand for prolonged period of time and/or move about our stores.

· Ability to read, write and communicate with our customers, vendors and retail store professionals.

· Ability to lift, move and carry objects that weigh in excess of fifty pounds.

Education and Experience

· College degree preferred, minimum High School Diploma or GED.

· Technical Skills and Knowledge

· Technical Knowledge of coating and related products desired, but not needed.

· Basic PC knowledge (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word.)

· Work counter as needed to develop the team, meet potential customers and assist with inside sales.

· Valid Driver’s License with a past history of good driving skills.

· Professional appearance along with following company dress code.

· Ability to multitask, meet critical deadlines, and attention to detail.

· All other responsibilities and duties deemed worthy and assigned by management

· Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with our highly important diverse customer base.

· Experienced candidates should have proven skills in the areas of building customer relationships.

· Negotiating, and closing techniques.

· The successful candidate must be extremely customer-service oriented, sales growth motivated and possess a high level of self-confidence.
